Kunming, April 2, reporter Chen Dianhong and special correspondent Gao Yi reported: Today, according to the annual training plan, the southern theater of the Chinese People's Liberation Army organized army and air force units to hold a joint live-troop and live-fire exercise on our side of the China-Myanmar border. , designed to test the combat capabilities of theater troops in rapid maneuvering, precise destruction, three-dimensional sealing and control, and joint strikes.
At about 8 o'clock on the 2nd, at the border of southwestern Yunnan, with the commander's order, the exercise officially started. Participating troops such as armored infantry, artillery, air defense, army aviation and air force aviation quickly maneuvered to the predetermined exercise area, divided into different areas. , carried out joint live-troop and live-fire exercises at staggered times and staggered locations. Under the unified command of the theater, all participating forces were organized according to combat groups, launched systematic attacks, coordinated operations, and carefully planned and organized practical exercises such as joint armed police patrols, joint reconnaissance and early warning, joint air defense control, and joint fire strikes. At the same time, multiple fire strike groups quickly entered the preset positions and carried out precise joint strikes with batches and multi-directional fire power on the targets indicated on the spot.
According to the on-site commander, this exercise is highly practical, with a variety of scenarios preset, real troops deployed, long-range rapid maneuvers, and continuous implementation over multiple days.
