The instability will continue this Sunday, June 11, in large areas of the Peninsula with fifteen provinces of the northern half at risk from rains and storms, while maximum temperatures will increase in general, according to the forecast of the AEMET.

Specifically, Huesca, Teruel, Zaragoza, Asturias, Cantabria, Burgos, Soria, Barcelona, Girona, Lleida, Lugo, Ourense, Navarra, La Rioja and Castellón will be on yellow alert for the aforementioned meteorological phenomena.

Thus, in the northern half of the interior, low clouds are expected in the extreme north and in general cloudiness of evolution, with showers occasionally accompanied by thunderstorm in the afternoon. In the environments of the Cantabrian mountain range, high Ebro, Iberian and Pyrenees will be more intense, without ruling out hail.

In addition, in an isolated and less likely way they may also occur in the southwest of the Northern plateau, mountains of the center, east and southeast and interior of Mallorca, as well as in Melilla in the early hours and, later but less likely, on the southeast coasts of the Peninsula.

In the west of Galicia at the end of the day cloudiness will increase, with showers and storms that will continue at night, while in the Canary Islands cloudy intervals are expected on the mountainous islands, with occasional showers in the afternoon.

However, rainfall will tend to subside in general, except in the center of the northern third and Cantabria, where it may last at night.

This Sunday morning mists are also expected in the west, around the Cantabrian mountain range, and in the eastern Mediterranean area affecting isolated areas of the interior, according to the AEMET.

Temperatures, on the other hand, will fall in the case of the minimum in the west and Levante, and will increase in the case of the maximum, except in the Ebro basin and Mediterranean coast, where they will fall. In this way, 32 degrees can be exceeded in the Guadalquivir, interior of Levante and half Ebro.

Finally, the AEMET has stressed that this Sunday is expected west wind in the Strait and Gulf of Cadiz, easterly winds in the Cantabrian Sea and weak winds in the rest of the country, with southwest in central hours on the Atlantic slope.
