Mauritania: Oumar Diop buried in Nouakchott after the conclusions of the Moroccan autopsy

The death of this young Mauritanian on the night of May 28 to 29 in a hospital in the capital after being held in a police station had provoked major riots in the country. The additional results of the long-awaited autopsy sent to Morocco have finally been communicated by the prosecutor general of Nouakchott. According to the report of the Moroccan forensic expert, Oumar Diop did not die of criminal causes. Results that confirm the version advanced last week by the police and the Ministry of the Interior. For the family, who refuted their version, this is yet another blow. On Saturday morning, June 10, they were finally able to proceed with the burial and pay their respects at the cemetery in the north of Nouakchott.
