"There are more and more signs of Ukrainian involvement in the attacks on the Nord Stream gas pipelines. The direct involvement of the Ukrainian government and its military leadership sounds plausible," the parliamentarians said in a statement.

If suspicions against the Ukrainian authorities are confirmed, this should entail "immediate" consequences, politicians say.

"Providing further development assistance to Ukraine is becoming unthinkable. In this case, all obligations should be immediately revoked, and the upcoming payments should be frozen, "RIA Novosti quoted the statement as saying.

The German newspaper Der Spiegel previously reported that German intelligence is receiving more and more data that points to Ukraine's responsibility for undermining the Nord Streams in the Baltic Sea.

On April 7, The New York Times reported that in Germany, the investigation found traces of explosives on the pleasure yacht Andromeda. According to The Washington Post, the yacht "Andromeda" was not the only vessel that participated in the sabotage.

At the same time, in February, American journalist, Pulitzer Prize winner Seymour Hersh published an investigation into US involvement in undermining Nord Stream. His investigation claims that Nord Stream was mined by divers from the United States: they operated under the cover of the BALTOPS 22 exercise, which took place in the Baltic Sea from June 5 to 17, 2022.
