"As of 18:00 on June 8, specialists of the territorial bodies of Rospotrebnadzor, together with employees of the Federal Service for Alcohol Regulation, seized 71.4 thousand liters of the potentially dangerous beer drink Mr. Sidr, produced in the Samara region," RIA Novosti quoted the agency as saying.

It is noted that the products were identified and seized in the Astrakhan, Kurgan, Volgograd, Vladimir, Ulyanovsk, Samara, Penza, Ryazan and Nizhny Novgorod regions, in the republics of Udmurtia, Crimea, Mordovia, Chuvashia, Komi, Mari El and Bashkortostan, as well as in the Perm Territory.

According to the latest data, in Russia, 97 people were poisoned by surrogate cider, of which 31 people died. This is reported by the Russian Ministry of Health.

A court in Ulyanovsk arrested a Samara businessman suspected of producing surrogate cider for two months.
