The report says that the court accepted the statement of the prosecutor of the region on the recognition of crimes committed by the Nazis during the Great Patriotic War on the territory of the Volgograd (Stalingrad) region, "war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide of national and ethnic groups representing the population of the USSR."

It is specified that the case consists of 14 volumes containing information about the crimes of the Nazis against at least 130 thousand civilians.

Earlier, the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia reported that the prosecutor's office of the Volgograd region filed an application with the court to recognize the crimes of the Nazis and their accomplices in Stalingrad during the Great Patriotic War as genocide.

On May 25, the prosecutor's office of the Moscow region sent a statement to the court with a request to recognize the crimes of the Nazis in the Moscow region as genocide of the peoples of the USSR during the Great Patriotic War.
