"The National Day attracts several hundred visitors to the village," says initiator Kerstin Boström.

For the fourteenth year in a row, "Mrs Käck's café" offered a cake buffet beyond the ordinary. In addition to about 60 pastries, National Day pastries were also served during the National Day celebrations in Glommersträsk.

"It's sacred to visit 'Mrs Käck's café'," says Lennart Arvius from Stockholm.

400 guests at Hängengården

The cake buffet has been named "Mrs Käck's café" after Per Israelsson Käck, who was the first settler in the village.

"The idea is that it is now his wife who has served coffee," says Kerstin Boström.

It is estimated that around 400 guests gathered at Hängengården to celebrate the national day.
