Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated his Turkish counterpart on his re-election as head of Turkey. In the telegram, the Russian leader called Erdogan a friend and noted that Moscow appreciates the contribution of the Turkish president to strengthening Russian-Turkish relations.

Former US President Donald Trump also sent congratulations to Erdogan and said that he had known the Turkish leader for a long time and considered him his friend.
