American writer Jonathan Friedland warned Democrats in America that Trump's return to the presidency is quite likely, and called on them to act now to prevent it, saying that if he returns to a second term, he will work to end what he started in his first term by destroying any institution that stands in his way.

The writer said in an article in the British newspaper "The Guardian" that the ruling on responsibility for sexual assault against Trump has not weakened his grip on the Republican Party, and other cases awaiting court ruling will not weaken this grip, while opinion polls are getting gloomy for President Joe Biden.

What should kill him strengthens him

He pointed out that the first obstacle to Trump's victory in the Republican nomination to run for president is shrinking daily, adding that the strange thing is that the cases brought against him have the result, whatever the ruling, to strengthen this grip, "what should kill him, only strengthen him."

Friedland also pointed to a Washington Post/ABC poll this week that showed Biden trailing Trump by six points, and also found that 63 percent of Americans believe Biden, who turns 86 at the end of his second term, lacks mental alertness to serve effectively, compared to 43 percent in 2020. Simply put, Trump's prospects are better now than in 2020.

Competition with the devil

Democrats need to emerge from the complacency brought by victory in 2020 and act as if they are in a race against the devil, and that they are lagging behind in it because they are. Many veterans urge the president to go out to the public and promote his achievements, not least his strong track record in jobs, and Democrats should ring the alarm daily on Trump's alarm because he is clear and present, and they should give up the hope that the courts will resolve their conflict with Trump.

He went on to say that many Democrats favor and welcome Trump's victory in his party's nomination, because they are sure that he will lose to Biden in 2024, and says that these should remember that only 44,3 votes in 2020 states stood in <> between Biden's victory and a draw with Trump, and now the polls look much worse for Biden.

In his second term, Trump will follow what he started in his first term to break any institution that might stand in his way, be it the ballot box or the courts, abandon Ukraine, refuse to let America pay its debts to the world, and drown Americans in a torrent of lies.
