Murhaf Hamid was reluctant to sell cornflowers at all, but his friends persuaded him. Maybe they would earn enough to go out for pizza together, the friends thought.

After a tentative start, sales really took off. Now he can afford far more than a pizza – at least SEK 45,000 of the total will go to himself. The sale has brought great joy to the twelve-year-old, who is an asylum seeker and does not know what the future holds.

"I want to buy a residence permit, but I can't," says Murhaf Hamid, who plans to buy a mobile phone, shoes and clothes instead.

In the video, Murhaf talks about the feelings of having sold lots of cornflowers.
