A 49-year-old man has been identified today by the Mossos and criminally charged for launching
racist insults at a black boy who was playing a children's soccer game
in Barcelona.
Mossos sources have informed EFE that the event took place shortly after ten in the morning at the Menorca Municipal Football Field, in the Sant Martí district of Barcelona, when the referee of a match stopped the official match of the children's competition for the racist insults that a spectator launched against one of the players.
A Catalan police patrol has come to the place, whose agents have identified the man who was hurling the insults, the referee, the child and the father of the child, who has formalized the criminal complaint for a hate crime.
In accordance with the regulations of the football federation for these cases, the match has been suspended.
