Pentagon: US seeks to expand the scale of military exercises in the ITR to contain China

This was announced by the assistant head of the Pentagon for strategy, planning and potential Mara Karlin.

“We are expanding [the scope] of our joint exercises in the Indo-Pacific region,” she said, according to TASS, referring to the policy of the United States in the field of containment of the influence of the PRC.

Carlin noted that Washington is conducting bilateral and multilateral military exercises, but in reality is trying to change and increase the size and scope and nature of the exercises.

In July, the Commander of the US National Guard, General Daniel Hokanson, announced that the National Guard of the United States plans to expand joint training programs with the countries of the Indo-Pacific Region (IPR).
