“For the week from February 21 to February 27, prices fell by 0.02%.
In annual terms, price growth slowed down to 11.01%,” the document says.
It is clarified that the main contribution to the slowdown in inflation was made by the cheaper food products (-0.10% after an increase of 0.11% a week earlier) due to both fruits and vegetables and other food products.
In addition, deflation is recorded in the service sector (-0.09%) against the backdrop of lower prices for air tickets for domestic flights and sanatorium and health services.
Rosstat reported that a decrease in prices for goods and services (deflation) by 0.02% was recorded in Russia over the past week.
