A year ago, the city of Stockholm decided that the municipality would sell the Tensta Träff cultural and gathering place and the sister property Tensta gymnasium.

The properties were bought by Hemsö AB, which has begun a major renovation of the high school's former premises.

Tensta Träff opens again in the autumn with Rädda Barnen and Folkets Hus och Parker as leading actors for the business.

Who will take over Tensta gymnasium is currently unclear, but when the school building is ready to open its doors in the fall semester of 2024, Tensta Träff will once again be closed for a more extensive renovation over a period of two years.

In Järva, there have previously been widespread protests against cuts to community services.
