Chen Chun is the vice president and director of thoracic surgery at Union Hospital Affiliated to Fujian Medical University.
It was commonplace to work overtime at night for surgery. At that time, the thoracic surgery department and the neurosurgery department were often linked together, and the nurses in the operating room ridiculed it as "a vicious spirit" with a homonym.
Chen Chun has been a doctor for more than 30 years and has to perform hundreds of surgeries a year. Due to his long-term dealings with critically ill patients, his heart started beating wildly when he heard the bell, and he entered a "war state".
