“Moldovagaz's debt for the gas supplied by Gazprom amounted to $590.8 million,” reads a document published on the department's website.
It notes that most of this amount - $ 394.1 million - was formed between 2011 and 2015, $ 144.8 million falls on the period from 1999 to 2007, $ 37.3 million - debt for deliveries in December 2021.
Another $14 million of debt, according to auditors, was formed in the first half of 1999, even before the formation of Moldovagaz.
Earlier, the head of Moldovagaz, Vadim Cheban, said that the Moldovan company paid for 99.3% of Gazprom's supplies in 2022.
