Here the runners brave the cold - running a half marathon in Strängnäs

- We've had worse.

We've had rain and we've had minus 15 as the coldest, says competition manager Erik Froste from Strängnäs running club about the cold.

This year is the ninth year that they organize a half marathon in Strängnäs and the race starts from Vasavallen and ends with a couple of last kilometers through central Strängnäs.

- The last fifteen hundred meters are really steep uphill.

That's where you notice if you've trained properly throughout the year, says Erik Froste.

Fastest runners

The competitor on the women's side who made it around the 21 kilometers first was Pernilla Elmgren from Ärla SK who ran to the finish line in one hour and 21 minutes.

The fastest of the men was Lukas Segersten from Enköpings AIF who crossed the finish line after one hour and thirteen minutes.
