The American Wall Street Journal quoted sources as saying that on Tuesday, Israeli planes bombed a convoy of cars in eastern Syria coming from Iraq.

The sources said that the Israeli bombing killed 10 people and destroyed vehicles suspected of smuggling Iranian weapons.

And Syrian media sources said, on Tuesday, that an "unknown" raid had targeted pro-Iranian fighters on the Syrian-Iraqi border, which led to deaths and injuries.

The media sources indicated that the bombing was carried out on trucks carrying weapons and oil tanks in the countryside of Al-Bukamal in the east of Deir ez-Zor border province with Iraq.

During the past years, Israel and America launched raids on separate areas in Syria, claiming that they were targets belonging to Iran or militias loyal to it fighting on the side of the Syrian regime.
