Starting with the public hearing of the Special Committee on Budget and Settlement on the 4th, the National Assembly's review schedule for next year's government budget will begin in earnest.

The National Assembly Preliminary Committee will hold a public hearing on the 2023 budget and fund management plan at the National Assembly this afternoon.

At this public hearing, witnesses from the opposition parties and members of the preliminaries will attend to discuss the appropriateness of the 639 trillion won budget for next year prepared by the government.

Prior to this, the settlement review subcommittee of the Preliminary Committee is planning to decide on the approval of last year's settlement of accounts and preliminary expenses.

Following the general policy inquiry on the 7th and 8th, the pre-decision committee will conduct the examination of the economic ministries on the 10th and 11th and the non-economic ministries on the 14th and 15th, respectively.

From the 17th, the Budget Adjustment Subcommittee (Budget Subcommittee), which reviews the reduction/increase of the next year's budget, will begin its full-scale activities.

After this schedule, we plan to review and decide on the budget for next year at the plenary meeting on the 30th.

The statutory deadline for processing the New Year's budget bill at the National Assembly plenary session is December 2nd every year.
