Young citizens looking for work reported that there are five main challenges they face regarding obtaining jobs, which are the weak salaries in the private sector, the difficulty of recruitment in government agencies, and the inadequacy of the job available for study experiences or the researcher’s desire, as well as ignoring employment requests from government agencies. They explained to "Emirates Today", on the sidelines of the National Employment Fair that was held recently in Sharjah, that salaries in the private sector are less than in the government sector, which is characterized by greater stability and better opportunities for advancement and career development.

Citizen Saif Al-Mulla said: “I have been looking for a job for six months, but I have not been able to get a job so far,” noting that he is seeking employment in a government agency, and therefore participated in the exhibition to apply for available jobs.

Abdullah Muhammad said: “I have been looking for a job for a while, whether in the government sector or the private sector, and sometimes I receive a rejection response, and sometimes I don’t receive anything, so whenever I hear about a job fair that has been announced, I take the initiative to submit my papers, until I seek to obtain a job.” .

Khaled Hussein agreed with him, saying, "I applied to many jobs, and I am now 24 years old, and I have an average qualification," stressing that the most important challenges facing him are qualifications compared to those with higher qualifications who are more likely to get jobs.

Abdullah Moussa said that salaries are few in the private sector compared to the government, but it is easier for us to get a job, especially since poor rates are an obstacle to us getting a job easily, noting that he has an average qualification and has been searching for a long time without success.

Abdullah Al Shamsi confirmed that he searched for a job, whether in the government or private sector, but he was unable to obtain a job, because everyone requires experience and does not have it, so he has not found a job since he finished his studies, pointing to the difficulty of applying in government agencies, due to the length of the list.
