See the statistics on fatal accidents in the clip above and hear what the Swedish Transport Agency thinks the cause is.

Four young people have died in accidents with A-tractors in just one month in western Sweden.

But the statistics show that significantly fewer young people die in traffic overall.

In 15 years, the number of fatal accidents for the 15-17 age group has dropped to a third.

This despite the fact that the number of registered mopeds and A-tractors has increased by around 50,000 vehicles since 2016.

West Swedish accidents this year increase the statistics

However, the figures for 2022 look darker.

Recent figures show that as many young people died in traffic up to and including October this year as in the whole of last year.

Is it a trend break we are seeing?

- No, I wouldn't say that.

Rather, it depends on chance.

We have had two accidents in a short time, with two people dying in each, says Khabat Amin, statistician and traffic safety analyst at the Swedish Transport Agency.
