The official explained that family members of Ukrainian citizens who were allegedly “deported” to Russia can apply for a corresponding document on “return”.
According to Shmyhal, for this they need to contact the State Migration Service of Ukraine or the Ministry of Reintegration.
On July 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin, by his decree, extended the simplified procedure for obtaining Russian citizenship to all persons permanently residing in Ukraine.
In September, the Ukrainian Ministry of Reintegration announced the development of a draft law on criminal liability for obtaining Russian citizenship and calls for such actions.
