The CTK agency reports this.

As the ministry recalled, the current ban was introduced after the start of a special military operation in Ukraine in February 2022 and will last until March 31, 2024.

“At the same time, the diplomatic department proposed issuing a new order banning the issuance of visas and residence permits for citizens of Russia and Belarus without limiting the period of its validity,” the publication says.

The Foreign Ministry clarified that the initiative does not apply to the issuance of visas for humanitarian reasons.

In October 2022, Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky said that Russians with tourist Schengen visas will be prohibited from entering the Czech Republic from October 25.

According to him, first of all the ban will affect Russians arriving at the international airport in Prague.
