The Yemeni government: The Houthis carried out two "terrorist attacks" on two oil ports

Today, Friday, the internationally recognized Yemeni government announced that the Houthi militia "carried out two terrorist attacks" on two oil ports in the Hadramawt and Shabwa governorates, in the east of the country.

The government said in a statement that "the Houthi militia carried out a terrorist attack with drones and missiles on Friday, targeting the Dabba oil port in Hadramout, while a ship was docked to load crude oil from the port."

The statement added, "This terrorist and cowardly attack is the second of its kind committed by the Houthi militia, as it previously targeted the Radhum oil port with two successive attacks on the nights of October 18 and 19, 2022."

The Yemeni government considered the Houthi attacks as "a clear insistence on targeting civilian and commercial facilities in clear violation of international law, and behind this targeting the economic infrastructure and the Yemeni people and their capabilities."

The government also considered "this attack and the previous attacks a blatant threat to energy supplies at the regional and international levels."

The statement continued, "While the Yemeni government was keen to provide all facilities to renew the UN armistice and maintain the status quo away from any military escalation, the Houthi militias cross all red lines after threatening neighboring countries and all oil companies operating in the region, of all nationalities, to target their facilities. infrastructure and transportation.”

The statement added, "The Houthi militia has transformed its threats into actions by committing this treacherous and cowardly terrorist attack, to confirm the terrorist nature of this group and its rejection of all initiatives and offers to establish peace, in order to serve the agendas of the Iranian regime."

The government threatened that "options are open to deal with this terrorist attack and the Houthi military escalation, calling on the international community to bear its responsibility towards such terrorist incidents."
