According to RIA Novosti, the Commission on Foreign Affairs of the Hungarian Parliament during the meeting will consider the measures necessary for the accession of Finland and Sweden to the North Atlantic Treaty.

Earlier, Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin said that she had discussed with the Turkish and Hungarian authorities the issue of Finland's accession to NATO, and believes that "there should be no problems with the application."

In August, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that Sweden and Finland do not fulfill the requirements put forward by Ankara, which are necessary for these countries to join NATO.
