Mölnbacka youth center accepts young people with social problems aged 13 to 20.

When a placement takes place, the HVB home is obliged to carry out so-called suitability assessments before each enrollment of a new person in the operation.

The assessment includes, among other things, taking a position on whether the intervention can be given under safe and secure forms, and whether the placement may entail a negative impact between the placed persons.

But according to Ivo, Mölnbacka youth center has not done these in a satisfactory way.

Ivo states that there are almost daily conflicts between placed youths, and the young people have thus not been able to feel safe in the accommodation.

In his criticism, Ivo also states that the conflicts can make it difficult for the young people to absorb any treatment and that treatment efforts risk being held back because the staff are instead busy dealing with conflicts.

Ivo has previously criticized Mölnbacka youth center on repeated occasions, including for unauthorized restraint and coercive measures as well as physical interventions.

The Mölnbacka home now has until October 12 to respond to the criticism.
