On Wednesday, the county administrative board also received a supplementary delivery of the municipalities' postal votes and foreign votes.

"Best job"

Vote counter Amanda Weiding thinks it's one of the better jobs she's had.

- Free coffee twice a day, free candy and better pay than any of my other jobs.

Interesting to see how democracy works in practice

- I think it is important to see that the entire democratic process works.

To see that both the reception and the subsequent processing of all votes work, says counting group leader Hans Persson.

Each ballot is checked at least twice

Amanda Weiding is part of one of the counting groups.

Their results are checked by a control group which should arrive at the same results.

When everything is correct, a third group registers the results in the election authority's computer system.

At the county board, personal votes are also counted for the first time.

It is not done in the preliminary vote count that the municipalities did on election night.

Next week, the counting of the municipal and regional votes will begin

- The Riksdag votes will be ready on Friday when the electoral authority also determines the final result, says election coordinator Madeleine Söderfeldt Sjöberg.
