Yesterday, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, offered his condolences on the death of Queen Elizabeth II, during his visit to the British Consulate in Dubai.

His Highness was received by the British Ambassador to the UAE, Patrick Moody, the Consul General of the United Kingdom in Dubai and the Trade Commissioner for the Middle East, Simon Penny.

His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum wrote a speech in the consulate's condolence book, in which he offered his sincere condolences and sympathy to King Charles III, King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the royal family and the friendly British people, on the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

During the visit, His Highness praised the great contributions of the late queen in serving her country and people, and her prominent role in consolidating the strong bilateral relations between the UAE and the United Kingdom, which were characterized by mutual respect and continuous coordination in various issues and fields.
