"Halliburton announced today that it has completed the sale of its Russian business to a Russia-based management team of former employees," the company said in a press release.
It is specified that Halliburton leaves the Russian market.
Business in Russia will be renamed BurService and will operate independently.
Businessman Arkady Rotenberg said earlier at the Eastern Economic Forum that in order to make a breakthrough in Russian business, it is necessary to “remove the regulation a bit, let people go.”
According to RBC, citing data from research company NielsenIQ, the departure of Coca-Cola from Russia has led to more brands of cola-flavored drinks in stores.
