The Executive Director of School Transport at Emirates Transport, Jassem Al-Marzouqi, revealed to "Emirates Today" that its school buses are provided with a set of smart technologies and advanced devices that contribute to raising the level of safety and protection on those buses, including the chatbot technology. In response to a question about the most important new technologies adopted by Emirates Transport to increase safety standards in school transport operations, Al Marzouki stressed that Emirates Transport places the safety and comfort of students at the top of its priorities.

He said that "Emirates Transport" has employed many means of protection and safety in the school bus fleet in accordance with the regulations in force in the country, and in accordance with what is stipulated in federal and local legislation, as well as the best international practices in the field of school transport.

Al-Marzouqi explained a number of new safety systems applied in school buses for the new academic year that started at the beginning of this week, such as the launch of the "chat bot" service using the "WhatsApp" program, which facilitates the process of locating the student's home, thus making it easier for Emirates Transport crews. » Providing the school transport service at the desired level, and it is also easy for parents to register for the school transport service from anywhere without the need to go to school.

Al-Marzouki discussed the safety systems inside school buses linked to the UTS program, which are intended to monitor and monitor any violations that may occur by drivers or any defect in the bus systems, and send alerts to the operating rooms about these developments.

He explained that the application of these systems aims to enhance drivers' commitment to safety standards while driving and avoid wrong behaviors such as sudden stops and excessive speed, as well as its contribution to verifying complaints and observations related to buses and drivers, and identifying the real reasons behind any accident during the school trip.

Al-Marzouqi touched on the “Your Children Are Safe” program, which was developed to maintain the safety of students on school buses, and to reassure parents immediately in case the student is late for home, through an electronic program downloaded to the phone, allowing communication between the guardian and the school bus supervisor. It also allows to follow the bus in real time on the satellite map.

Al-Marzouqi also pointed to a group of other programs that have enhanced safety conditions during school transport operations, such as the (OneET) program, which was developed to provide the service of informing school administrations of transport data for each bus separately, following up on the performance indicators of the transport service on a daily basis, and identifying transferred and absent students.

He also referred to the “My Bus” program, which facilitates school transportation and monitors daily trips to and from school, in addition to determining the actual place of pick-up and disembarkation of students. And getting off the student to and from the school bus.

It is noteworthy that "Emirates Transport" is subjecting school buses to periodic maintenance operations throughout the year. It also implements intensive preventive maintenance programs, including a comprehensive program for rehabilitative maintenance for the school year, which takes place during the summer vacation, in preparation for the start of the new school year.
