The winner of the first edition of the Cantacielo festival, dedicated to the "song of the soul", is a love song from a mother for her son.

Written by Marcello Marrocchi and arranged by Romano Musumarra, the song Per te son was performed by a very young singer from Gubbio, the fifteen year old Jessie Grace Smith.

As part of the final evening of the event, which is broadcast on

RAI 2 on Tuesday 6 September

at around midnight, the other finalists also performed, accompanied by the 22 elements of the Lavorè Orchestra: the Babols with Alice;

Angelo Antonio Ferrara with Everything can change;

Emilio Corbo and Patrizio De Simio with On the road to the sky;

Mirael with Baila in the soul;

Fabio Piacentini and Ilaria Cristofari with Risvegli;

Etimo con Qui (letter to man);

Fabio Fois with In un giorno di vento.

To conduct the evening Enrica Guidi, well-known interpreter of "I delitti del Barlume" and Leonardo Metalli, expert and music critic of TG1.

The jury was chaired by Dario Salvatori and made up of Eugenio Arcidiacono, Donatella Pandimiglio, Francesca Chialà, Friar Alessandro Brustenghi, Gianfranco Sciscione, Giorgio Flavio Pintus and Romano Musumarra.

A recording album will be made from the songs in the final, to be released in the weeks following the festival.
