This Friday, September 2 is held at the Elysée a Defense Council devoted to the energy crisis.

Emmanuel Macron brings together ministers and experts in discussions leaving aside the parties represented in Parliament, officially because of confidential data likely to be mentioned.

An argument that does not convince within the opposition, headwind against "

bad democratic habits

" taken by the head of state.

"

Me, I don't understand, I don't understand...

" Taken aback, even exasperated.

For the ecologist deputy Sophie Taillé Polian, Emmanuel Macron

's choice to

address the energy crisis in the Defense Council is a major error: "

We have nevertheless clearly seen the immense tensions which were created during the Covid crisis, in particular by this management completely fallen from above and autocratic, and there, we start again!

We need the acceptability of the measures and therefore democratic debate, to know how to manage the situation… We do the opposite!

»

Setting aside the legislative power, more than an error, it is a stratagem, for Laurent Jacobelli.

The National Assembly deputy sees in this the embarrassment of the Head of State faced with the results of his first term: "

Emmanuel Macron is hiding,

he says,

because he knows clearly that he will be obliged to admit his share of responsibility in the current situation.

I believe that the French need to understand why this same President of the Republic at the beginning of the previous five-year term pressed the brakes on the nuclear sector which brings us to the current situation.

 »

The government promises transparency and collegiality in decisions.

Insufficient for opposition.

Marine Le Pen notably asks for an extraordinary session of Parliament to study the subject.

Micro-sidewalk: as winter approaches, the French are increasingly wondering about their energy consumption
