The Secretary-General of the National Competitiveness Council, Ghannam Al Mazrouei, stated that the council, in cooperation with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, is motivating national cadres to work in the private sector, through the “Compete your way” campaign, which it recently launched, to present the success stories of Emiratis working in this sector, in order to achieve directives Leadership and its forward-looking vision for the professional future in the private sector.

He added in radio statements: “We launched the (Compete Your Way) campaign, finally, defining its goal, introducing young citizens to the advantages of the private sector, the advantages of the Nafes program, and calling for benefit and discovery of training opportunities available at the Ministry, which include professional opportunities available for national cadres, and to encourage youth The citizen is encouraged to engage in work experiences within the private sector institutions, and to learn about the success stories of national cadres in the private sector.”

Al Mazrouei pointed out that the council presented 25 success stories of citizens working in the private sector, and over the next four years, the focus will be on the various professional positions in the private sector, and the extent of the success of Emirati youth, in addition to shedding light on the views of administrators in professional institutions, as well as the views of families. From various segments of society, and the advantages of working in the private sector, pointing out that the target is to present 100 success stories annually, and after presenting 25 stories recently, there are 92 other stories that are currently subject to review and evaluation in cooperation with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and will be presented soon.

Al Mazrouei pointed out that citizens working in the private sector are considered ambassadors for their counterparts who will work, stressing that there are job opportunities and citizen competencies in this sector, in addition to young leaders with great achievements to be proud of, although many do not know their success stories, and therefore the campaign aims to introduce Society and institutions with their clear fingerprints.

He stated that the campaign will shed light on employers in the private sector, by reviewing their views in various fields, and how Emirati youth have made great achievements by working in the private sector, in addition to receiving their recommendations and suggestions to attract national skills to work in this sector, pointing out that success stories Citizen cadres published by the Council on social media platforms.

He stated that the most prominent challenges that faced work in the past were that the desire to work in the government sector had control over graduates, but the first experience in the private sector changed the concepts of graduates and job seekers, as working in this sector ensures professional development and career progression for young cadres, especially that The UAE labor market includes major international and local companies with a strong reputation.

Al Mazrouei said: "We aim to empower Emirati cadres to work in the private sector, so that they are attracted by the institutions of this sector," noting that the "Nafis" program, which was launched last year, came to support Emirati youth in private enterprises from a financial point of view.
