“Accounts are being opened for Russian citizens. The conditions are the presence of a residence permit, the right to work or a student visa,” he told RIA Novosti.

According to the agency’s interlocutor, the country’s state banks did not receive any introductory information about the ban on opening accounts for Russians.

The Turkish private bank Denizbank explained that they require confirmation of a residence permit in Turkey in connection with internal procedures, and not with American sanctions.

Earlier, a RIA Novosti source in the Turkish banking sector reported that Russia and Turkey intend to create a bank to solve problems with transfers.
