The French president returned to Paris on the eve of the Council of Ministers this Wednesday morning.
The executive's roadmap is full: employment, education and immigration are the priorities for the coming months.
But it is the now famous “energy sobriety” that will be at the top of the list.
After a scorching summer marked by drought and fires, and in the midst of soaring energy prices, the government has several texts in preparation.
And it is the head of government Élisabeth Borne who will be on the front line.

A one-on-one dinner with the Head of State on Tuesday evening, consultations with the social partners until the end of the week, a major speech next Monday to business leaders and a government seminar in the stride.
Elisabeth Borne's ecological agenda is full.
The Prime Minister had promised "
radical answers
", the opposition awaits her at the turn.
Environmentalists saw red after the reopening
of a coal-fired power station in Moselle
and the installation of a floating LNG terminal in Le Havre.
So, to respond to the accusations
of "climate inaction
", no less than three initiatives are in the government's cards.
For the month of September: a bill on renewable energies and a new energy-climate orientation law.
And in the fall, an ecological planning calendar for the next few years.
Without counting on the idea of the Minister of Transport Clément Beaune to regulate private jet flights.
Under pressure, Ms. Borne must now move on to practical work.
