US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi arrived at Osan Air Base at around 9 pm last night.

Chairman Pelosi was reported to have taken a break after arriving at the Hyatt Hotel in Yongsan, Seoul, where he was staying.

At 11:30 am today, I will hold a meeting with Speaker Kim Jin-pyo for about 50 minutes at the National Assembly and make a joint press release.

Leaders of the ruling and opposition parties are also present at the meeting.

It is also of interest to see whether the agenda for today's talks will include issues related to U.S.-China strategic competition, as well as issues such as security and economic cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region, and the climate crisis.

Chairman Pelosi chose South Korea as his destination right after his visit to Taiwan, where the crisis of the US-China conflict was even discussed. He also expressed tension.

As China has recently shown a sharp reaction by reemphasizing the three dollar principle related to THAAD deployed in South Korea, the South Korean government is taking the position that it will not leave any room for China to protest.

The presidential office also drew a line that President Yoon Seok-yeol, who is on vacation, has no plans to meet with Pelosi.

Chairman Pelosi is scheduled to leave for Japan around 6:30 pm after attending USFK encouragement events in the afternoon.
