Abu Dhabi Police launched the "Hand in Hand" initiative to reintegrate juveniles into society, in cooperation with strategic partners and in conjunction with the International Day of the Inmate, which falls on July 18 each year.

The Director of the Juvenile Welfare Department in the Community Security Sector, Colonel Bahian Hamad Al-Amiri, stated that the initiative aims to provide a helping hand to juveniles after they are rehabilitated and help them join various work bodies that are commensurate with their qualifications and skills.

He stressed the Abu Dhabi Police's interest in enhancing, developing and refining the skills of juveniles, pointing out that the participation of strategic partners is an important supporter in the rehabilitation process for juveniles even after their departure.

He stated that the initiative includes implementing workshops and specialized programs, following up the process of qualifying the juvenile, developing his skills, introducing himself and accepting him as a good individual and an important participant in the development process.
