Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced on Tuesday that Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Tehran next Tuesday and hold talks with his Iranian and Turkish counterparts, Ibrahim Raisi and Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Peskov stressed that President Putin's visit to Tehran is being prepared, and that there will be a meeting of the heads of the guarantor states of the Astana process related to strengthening the settlement in Syria.

This will be Putin's second foreign visit since the beginning of Russia's military intervention in Ukraine on February 24, after a trip to Central Asia at the end of last June.
