“My interview with Sky News was hardly liked by British journalists.

They heard a lot of unpleasant and extremely uncomfortable things.

And the ending turned out to be scandalous in general, ”Polyansky wrote in his Telegram.

The diplomat asked the journalist if the British authorities were embarrassed by the fact that on his official social media page Zelensky congratulated everyone on the victory over Nazism with a photograph showing a nationalist with the Nazi emblem of the Totenkopf Division.

“The photo was deleted after half an hour, but Internet users managed to save it - I showed it on the screen.

And he asked: does the British public know that this division is responsible for the execution of about a hundred British prisoners of war in France at the beginning of World War II?

Doesn't the British Secretary of Defense feel embarrassed that after all this he supports and arms a government that openly displays such emblems?

- said the Deputy Permanent Representative.

After that, the host "quickly turned the conversation off, muttering that our time, it turns out, has suddenly run out," and that Sky News "cannot confirm the correctness of this information," Polyansky said.

“Here you have the notorious freedom of speech in the West ... they don’t need the truth!

Now they will think a hundred times before inviting Russian diplomats on air,” he concluded.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky, on the occasion of May 9, published a post on his social networks, accompanied by a photograph of a Ukrainian military man, on whose uniform the emblem of the Totenkopf SS division is visible.

The post was later edited: the photo was removed, but the same image remained on the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Twitter account.
