News summary on the way home from work, Subsletter Evening.

Some of the phone calls between Candidate Jae-myung Lee and the wife of Candidate Seok-yeol Yoon have been released, shaking the presidential election landscape.

It was recorded by accountant Jeong Yeong-hak, the owner of Cheonhwa Dongin No. 5, while having a conversation with Kim Man-bae, the major shareholder of Hwacheon Daeyu.

It is the so-called 'Transcript of Young-hak Jeong', but it is not upbringing, but a document organized based on upbringing.

In the meantime, fragmentary contents of 'Jung Young-hak Transcript' have flowed out of the legal world, and the new transcript may be helpful in understanding the outline.

However, it is unclear how well this transcript has been verified, and even if there were conversations in the transcript, it should be taken into account that there are many conversations that are in the planning stage, and that there may be some bluffs or exaggeration of Mr.

It is unclear whether the conversation was carried out or not, and it should be revealed through investigation.

"Father (Kwak Sang-do) asked for money…through his son"

Byeong-chae, who appears here, is the son of Kwak Sang-do, a former member of the People's Strength Council.

It is already revealed that he received 5 billion won from Hwacheon Daewoo in the name of severance pay and consolation money.

It's a conversation to the effect that former lawmaker Kwak Sang-do asked for money through his son.

Since there is an expression 'the money I was supposed to give to my father', it seems that Kim Man-bae said that he would give the money to Kwak, and I can see that he was thinking about giving it three or four times through his son instead of giving it all at once.

At the end of the conversation, the two of you said that it was a thorny problem.

Kwak's son claimed on social media last year when suspicions about the 5 billion won were raised, saying, "I earned a lot of money because of hard work, recognition, and injuries."

However, the prosecution is investigating the case that former lawmaker Kwak used his influence over Hana Financial Group Chairman Kim Jeong-tae to block the consortium between Hwacheon Daewoo and Hana Bank, and received 5 billion won from his son in return.

At the end of last year, he requested an arrest warrant for Kwak on charges of mediation under the Act on Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes, but was dismissed.

Rep. Kwak firmly denies the allegations and also denies the credibility of the transcript.

"I have never been involved in the Daejang-dong project, and I have no knowledge of Chairman Kim Jeong-tae. We have to evaluate the authenticity of the transcript, but the prosecution is driving people to be criminals with just transcripts of their conversations without the parties involved."

"50, 50, 5...30 billion"

In the transcript reported by <The Hankook Ilbo>, influential figures called the so-called '5 billion club' appear, and there are a total of six people.

In addition to Kwak Sang-do, a former member of the People's Power, as described above, former Blue House chief of civil affairs Choi Jae-kyung, former special prosecutor Park Young-soo, former Prosecutor General Kim Su-nam, Money Today Chairman Hong Seon-geun, and former Supreme Court Justice Kwon Sun-il are already suspected through reports.

The parties have completely denied the allegations.

Of course, let's take a look at the conversation with the fact that just because there is a transcript does not mean that the reality of the '5 billion club' does not actually mean that the plan to deliver 5 billion won has been implemented.

This is a conversation in March 2020, and this conversation begins by saying that there is about 42 billion won left through the sale of the A12 block in Daejang-dong.

Kim Man-bae mentions the names of six influential people one by one, saying, "How many 50 pieces (billion won) are, I'll count them."

Accountant Jeong Young-hak asks, "Are you 500 million won or 5 billion won each?" and calculates 30 billion won while saying "50, 50, 50...".

All of the people mentioned as the '5 billion club' are denying it, and the prosecution's investigation has not yielded any significant results.

'Jung Young-hak Transcript' credibility?

<The Hankook Ilbo> reported that 'Jung Young-hak Transcript' was 10 episodes in total for 8 months from December 2019, and about 500 pages on A4 paper.

The details of how the transcript was obtained were not disclosed.

Accountant Jeong Young-hak submitted 19 transcripts to the investigation team of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office after suspicions of preferential treatment for the Daejang-dong project surfaced in September of last year, and fragmentary contents have come out of the legal community.

It was also said that the transcript provided many clues to the investigation.

Those involved have responded by denying the credibility of the transcript, and Kim Man-bae appeared at the prosecution in October last year and said, "The suspicions that are being raised now are because of the transcripts intentionally recorded and edited by a specific person during the conflict over the distribution of profits. There was a time when I rebutted, saying, "There were rumors that were not true."

The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office issued a statement after the report of the <Hankook Ilbo> and said, "If the documents, transcripts, and recorded files of a criminal case are leaked without checking the context and facts, there is a risk that the related trial and ongoing investigation may be disturbed, and the There is also concern about the invasion of the reputation and privacy of the public. I didn't say whether it was the same or different.

The letter of the deceased was also revealed, "Three proposals for excess profits ... not reflected"

I will introduce one more news related to Daejang-dong.

A handwritten letter from Seongnam Urban Development Corporation's Development Director Kim Moon-ki, who was found dead while being investigated by the prosecution, was released.

It starts with the title 'A letter of appeal to the president', and it seems that he was trying to send it to Seongnam Province CEO Yoon Jeong-soo to ask for help.

According to the KBS report, the letter reads, "Even though it was proposed three times to insert the excess profit portion beyond the standards set by the company, it was not reflected, and the executives at the time made a decision based on the standards of the competition guidelines and the bidding plan." I did my best until last March according to the decision criteria, and it feels as if I had committed an illegal act under orders, and I feel like the public opinion is being driven, and the prosecutor's investigation is like that. There is also a content that says, "I have never received any pressure or unfair instructions." "Rather, I tried to represent the interests of the company (Seongnam Provincial Government) against private business owners, and I have never received bribes or preferential treatment from them."

There is a part that says, “I am very resentful of a company that does not have any interest or legal support for me who is being investigated for work.”

Former Deputy Director Kim said that the executives did not reflect the provision of recovering excess profits, but did not disclose who the executive was in the letter.

He also did not mention the allegations of ties to higher-level officials, such as Democratic presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung, who was mayor of Seongnam.

"Permanent Special Prosecutor" VS "Real Special Prosecutor"

Again, it's news related to 'Jung Young-hak Transcript', and the opposition parties are vying for a special prosecutor in Daejang-dong.

In an interview with KBS radio in Gwangju, Democratic Party leader Song Young-gil attacked former lawmaker Kwak Sang-do and candidate Yoon Seok-yeol, arguing, "Even after the presidential election, a special prosecutor should be conducted under the permanent special prosecutor's law and the truth must be revealed."

CEO Song said, "In the case of Busan Savings Bank, which loaned 115.5 billion won (loans) to Daejang-dong, Mr. Yoon Seok-yeol was a prosecutor in charge of the investigation at the time as the 2nd head of the heavy water division. He insisted on the permanent special prosecutor, saying, "It is doubtful that he looked after him because he acted as a lawyer. If the special prosecutor investigates, the relationship between former special prosecutor Park and candidate Yoon will be revealed."

In response, Kim Ki-hyun, floor leader of the People's Power, responded.

“The trial of the five key defendants in Daejang-dong is currently underway, and there are even testimonies that the Daejang-dong development project is a guideline according to Mayor Lee Jae-myung’s instructions. "Even if this candidate gets away with all kinds of lies, everyone who knows who the body is now knows who the body is. Don't waste time by constantly discussing and tricking the permanent special prosecutor, let's do a real special prosecutor with a bipartisan agreement before the election as soon as possible," he said.

Why is the talk of the special prosecutor in politics when both the opposition and the ruling party are calling for a special prosecutor?
