Vaccination of children "desirable" but not compulsory

“Between Christmas and New Year's Day, we will have very strong pressure in our hospital services,” said the President of the Republic, before recalling that the virus “dictated the calendar”.

Emmanuel Macron also insisted on the third dose of the vaccine.

He called on the French still unvaccinated to go to the vaccination center.

The president also considered the vaccination of 5-11 year olds "desirable", even though he indicated that it was "the parents' choice".
