Emmanuel Macron began the televised address on Tuesday with a call for responsibility addressed to the 6 million French people over the age of 12 still unvaccinated, encouraging them to make an appointment. "

We are not done with the pandemic

", he pleads, referring to the increase in the incidence rate this week and that of hospitalizations as "

warning signals

 ", he insisted.

Above all, the president announced that the maintenance of the health pass would be conditional on the booster dose for people over 65 years of age and other particularly vulnerable groups.

This measure will be applied from December 15.

These people therefore have until this deadline to be vaccinated, otherwise their health pass will no longer be valid from that date.

French people over the age of 50 will also be able to receive a booster dose against Covid-19 too, but unconditionally.

A new vaccination campaign will be open to them from the beginning of December.

The government will give the modalities "

 in the coming days

", specifies the Head of State.

More than 80% of people in intensive care are over 50 years old, which is why a recall campaign will be launched from the beginning of December for our compatriots aged 50 to 64

", he declared. during a televised address. "

We have contacted the scientific authorities so that they can tell us in the next few days the practical arrangements and the deadlines to follow,

 " he said.

The presidential announcements fall while 3.4 of the 7.7 million French people eligible for a new dose have so far been revaccinated, and the Constitutional Council has validated the extension of the health pass until potentially the end of July 2022 on Tuesday. , nevertheless censoring the access of school directors to the vaccination status of pupils.

"Be extra vigilant"

Since September, the oldest and most fragile are already eligible for a booster dose of anti-Covid vaccine, most often a "third dose", provided that their vaccination dates back more than six months.

The booster dose aims to compensate for the loss of efficacy observed for the vaccines used in France over time.

In his address to the French, Emmanuel Macron called on the French to "

 redouble their vigilance

".

The wearing of masks will be maintained in schools.

Health pass controls will be stepped up, particularly in ports, airports and train stations.

Apart from Covid-19, the President of the Republic also mentioned nuclear power, announcing that France was going to build new nuclear reactors on its soil, and the pension reform, judging that the conditions "

are not met to relaunch

" the site at present, but delivering a speech laying the political foundations of his possible electoral campaign on the subject.

“

The health situation we are experiencing and which is deteriorating all over Europe; the unanimous wish expressed by trade unions and professional organizations to concentrate efforts on recovery; the need for harmony in this moment that our nation is living; mean that the conditions are not met to relaunch this project today,

 ”observes Mr. Macron.

“

However, our desire to save our pay-as-you-go model and correct its inequalities has not changed. And from 2022, to preserve the pensions of our retirees and solidarity between our generations, it will be necessary to take clear decisions

", namely according to him" to

work longer by pushing back the legal age, to move towards a fairer system by abolishing special schemes, by harmonizing the rules between public and private and by ensuring that at the end of a full career, no pension can be less than 1,000 euros

 ”.

And to raise the possibility of "

retiring gradually, accumulating rights more quickly for those who wish

" and "

to encourage work beyond the legal age also for those who do so. want

”.

To guarantee the energy independence of France, to guarantee the electricity supply of our country and to achieve our objectives, in particular carbon neutrality in 2050, we will, for the first time in decades, relaunch the construction of nuclear reactors in our country and continue to develop renewable energies
