The Liberals are critical of the fact that the government has not yet made a decision on the issue of a final repository of nuclear waste.

In Wednesday's "30 minutes", Nyamko Sabuni (L) announced that the party opens to arouse distrust of Minister of the Environment Per Bolund (MP) unless a decision is made before the Lucia days.

In order to arouse distrust, however, the support of 35 members of the Riksdag is required.

The Liberals have 20 seats and therefore need the support of at least another 15 members.

KD: we are open to that

The Christian Democrats announce that they are prepared to support the Liberals' initiative.

The party has 22 seats in the Riksdag, which in that case is enough to arouse distrust of Per Bolund together with the Liberals.

- The important thing now is a decision about the final repository.

If that decision is not made, we will of course be open to using all the tools of the Riksdag, says the party's group leader Andreas Carlson in a written response to SVT News

When asked if they are prepared to support the ultimatum that a message should come no later than during the Lucia days, he answers:

- If that is what is required in the end, then yes, we will be open to that in that case.

SD: Talks are in progress

The Sweden Democrats are also prepared to arouse distrust of Per Bolund.

- We will take the initiative to arouse distrust of Bolund.

There have been talks about this within the opposition for a couple of weeks now and this is a welcome message from Nyamko Sabuni, says SD leader Jimmie Åkesson in a written response to SVT News.

On the other hand, the party currently does not want to give a message about such distrust being linked to the ultimatum about the Lucia days.

- The time will come again.

I would like it to happen in the near future, but of course it is an advantage if the opposition can agree.

MP: More time is needed

Minister of the Environment Per Bolund believes that the issue of final repository of nuclear fuel must be investigated further before a decision can be made.

- The Land and Environment Court stated that the government cannot approve SKB's application if we do not have a better basis for a decision.

We are working for high pressure to compile this, says Per Bolund to SVT Nyheter.

In order for the Riksdag to vote yes to the proposal to declare its distrust of a minister, at least 175 members must vote yes.
