A 19-year-old player from the Sporting Club San Mateo dies when her vehicle leaves the road in Ponteareas while she was heading to a match. The deceased was on her way to meet her teammates to play a match in Teo against SD Cacheiras, which was suspended after the news broke.
The incident happened at kilometer 4 of the PO-254 road, in the parish of Pías, around 9:50 a.m. Galicia Health Emergency Service-061, Local Police, Civil Traffic Guard, road maintenance services and members of the GES-SPEIS intervened to release the victim.
