Memorial plaques to city residents who fought against the Nazis are being demolished in Kremenchug. The executive committee approved the dismantling of plaques for four Soviet soldiers as part of the decommunization law.
They will be given to the local history museum. Earlier, a street was renamed in honor of the Holocaust accomplice, commander of the 31st Schutzmannschaft SD battalion, head of collaborationist units within the Wehrmacht and the SS Galicia division, Peter Dyachenko.
