With our correspondent in Marseille,

Yoram Melloul

Canèle Bernard speaks in front of the banner where

Reporters Without Borders (RSF)

printed his brother's photo.

The younger sister of Olivier Dubois is there to educate the public on the situation of the journalist kidnapped in Mali, but not only.

We would also like, in this way, that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hear us. That we can be received by Jean-Yves le Drian, because for the moment we have no contact with them. We would also like to be able to solicit the presidency of France, because it is true that it is the French president who has the power of discussion, negotiation, decision and to do something concretely for Olivier

”, explains the young woman. .

There is indeed a crisis unit open for the family. But this does not provide information on the situation. While Canèle Bernard is convinced, it is now up to France to speed up the negotiations. “

The kidnappers themselves say they want to discuss Olivier's situation. Mali itself says it wants to talk to the kidnappers. We really hope that after six months of captivity, France will also wish to discuss the situation in order to be able to free Olivier,

 ”she insists.

At his side, there is Christophe Deloire, the president of Reporters Without Borders.

He wants to ensure that France does not let go of the case and prevent Olivier Dubois' case from landing below the pile.

In all, 13 town halls displayed a banner in support of the journalist.
