“We have no intention of creating a crisis ... I believe that the ambassadors will now be more careful in their statements,” Turkish TV channel NTV quotes Erdogan.

The Turkish leader also said that the duty of the head of state is to "give the necessary response to this disrespect for an independent and impartial judiciary and its representatives."

"Such an attitude is a great insult to all representatives of the Turkish judiciary, including judges, prosecutors and lawyers," Anadolu quoted Erdogan as saying.

On October 23, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that he had instructed the Turkish Foreign Ministry to declare ambassadors of ten countries persona non grata, who called for the release of human rights activist, founder of the Anadolu Kültür AŞ cultural foundation Osman Kavala.

Later, the United States declared non-interference in Turkish affairs.
