Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno said 17 people were injured in the earthquake, including one seriously injured.



He said there was nothing wrong with the local nuclear facility.



The Japan Meteorological Agency originally announced the magnitude of the earthquake as 6.1, but revised it to 5.9.



Yesterday at 10:41 pm, an earthquake with an epicenter of 80 km deep occurred in Chiba Prefecture, the metropolitan area of ​​Japan, and strong shaking was sensed as far as Tokyo.



Train and subway services were temporarily suspended, and the Japanese government immediately set up a countermeasures room.
