The provisional toll of the magnitude 7.2 earthquake that struck the southwest of Haiti on Saturday increased Sunday, August 15 to 1,297 dead and more than 5,700 injured, according to the country's civil protection services.

In addition to the missing persons, "many others are under the rubble", underlines a statement of the Civil Protection, which specifies that nearly 3,200 wounded were accommodated in the various hospitals.
