It is noted that the restrictions were imposed on the KGB of Belarus, the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus, the internal troops of the republic, the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Brest Regional Executive Committee and the detention center on Akrestsin Street.
The US sanctions list also included 16 people, including, in particular, the press secretary of the President of Belarus Natalya Eismont, the speaker of the upper house of parliament of the country Natalya Kochanova and the commander of the special forces of the KGB of Belarus "Alpha" Sergei Zubkov.
Earlier it was reported that the EU imposed sanctions against 78 individuals and eight organizations in Belarus.
